Stephen Hundley is a former high school science teacher from Savannah, Georgia. He holds degrees from Georgia College & State University (BA English) and Clemson University (MA English).

Stephen serves as the fiction editor for The Swamp literary magazine and is currently a Richard Ford Fellow at the University of Mississippi.

Recently, he was the winner of the Bondurant Prize in poetry, the Longleaf Scholarship, and the Button Fiction Spring Contest. He was also a finalist for Hub City’s C. Michael Curtis Short Story Book Prize, the Driftwood Press In-House Short Story Contest, and the Arts & Letters Fiction Prize.

His work has been featured in Carve, Permafrost, Waxwing, Notre Dame Review, Swamp Ape Review, Delta Poetry Review, Driftwood Press, and other journals.

He is seeking representation for a collection of short fiction and his first novel.

Not all of his stories are about dogs.
